Being a medic is not a simple task. It needs complete submission of yourself into it. As you are on a journey to serve pivot job “THE DOCTOR”.
My journey had begun 2 yrs prior, I have obviously gone through many ups and downs which is usual in the life of a medic. Many experiences will teach you an alternate part of reasoning or what would all be the different viewpoints about a solitary molecule.
I had a such wonderful experience at Jalal-Abad state medical university and that is the VIRTUAL CONFERENCE. There was a sequence of selection to the INTER-UNIVERSITY CONFERENCE which was held on 22 May 2021. Firstly from the class, the best ones were selected likewise from each year there were many participants. Then they were made to compete in INTRA-UNIVERSITY CONFERENCE which was held on 10 May 2021. There were different topics given to each year based on covid-19. For me, the topic was pathology covid covid-19 and the procedure and accuracy of the RT-PCR test. I was comfortable with the topic given to our batch even though the topic was wast I had confidence that if I prepare and practice well I can perform well too. It was my first experience at such a conference.
I was a kind of curious better say excited but at the same time, I was nervous too. We were given a time of 4 minutes including the introduction so I had a huge tension that “will I finish my presentation within the limited time ?”. And I console myself saying that “nadiya just do your side cleared and practice adequately and if it’s meant for you then surely you will” I used to get a laugh when I think about all those things I made to make myself confident. While I took off to start preparation of my ppt I planned to add only images with which I could explain as we all know picture-wise understanding is far better and the written theories. So I went to the concept that I have to convey. I have gone through explanations of the pathology of covid-19 in YouTubes and aims explained videos and notes same with RT-PCR technique and sorted out the related picture and made an ppt. While there were concepts that were new to me so I had to get into them and understand that particular. And finishing all my works related to the ppt, then I have started my practice session in which I kept a time of 3mintute and 30 seconds to finish my ppt and explanations. that was a huge mission anyway, I complete it the presentation in 3 min and 45 or 50 seconds. Then I was finally set for CONFERENCE . The day yet front of INTRA UNIVERSITY CONFERENCE everyone sends me their regards and wishes I was getting more strained when I read all that. But then I was gathering my confidence.
On 10nth may I was with full certainty in regards to everything aside from my time and there was likewise boosting by my companions and seniors and juniors all gratitude to everyone. I was the 11nth one to present the Topic. I was excited at the simultaneously tensed. The 10nth one completed and it was my turn next I started did satisfactorily and concluded the presentation within 3 minutes and 30 seconds which I was unable to believe actually. As soon as my presentation got over many including my seniors texted me “u did well” “just rocked” and a lot more which expanded my certainty level to the broaden that “I MAY WIN” Dr.Farook sir congratulate and talked to me about my performance on the same day of the CONFERENCE. On 10th May around 9 pm the result was announced that I got selected from 2nd year with a score of 192/200. Which gave me again an urge to participate in INTER-UNIVERSITY CONFERENCE.
As I have already prepared for the INTER-UNIVERSITY CONFERENCE there was no much preparation needed and time was increased to 5 minutes which was an advantage for me. Dr.Deepak sir has called me for a meeting and asked me to add some more topics to my presentation that is “ct value and its importance” which helped me a lot to get to know the topic and helped me to perform well on the INTER-UNIVERSITY CONFERENCE. On 22nd July afternoon, the program has started and tensed as usual but a bit more confidence than before. I Had just one intention in mind that is to perform well rather than the winning . Because at first when I gave to my name to Group leader for participating, from that moment to now I was working hard to reach this moment. Others may say that it’s anything but a contest however as I think this was the opportunity for me to represent my university. INTER-UNIVERSITY level for was not so had as I have already got an idea about the CONFERENCE I was comfortable with it. During the conference, I have come to know many new facts and different ways of presenting things. I was amazed by some of the ppts thinking that I can improve and make it that way next time. As it got over I was waiting for the results to be out as everyone. But at the same time, I was saying to myself that “DON’T HOPE” because the judges were profoundly qualified and the competition was also right. As the result I was out I WON FROM THE SECOND YEAR which was a too blessed moment for me. Regards came from everyone. I was too excited at the moment and blessed to be a part of it. From Jalal-Abad state medical university there were winners from the 2nd and 4th year (Aswitha), from runner-ups from 1st and 3rd-year Zeyd Azim and Heyden Wendy Dias respectively. It was a great t experience for us all and greatly thanking Jalal-Abad state medical university for this superb program conducted and I am thanking all the faculty member. Rather than winning, this conference has helped me know the areas I can improve so that I can perform well in the upcoming occasions.
