The International Mother Tongue Day, proclaimed by the UNESCO General Conference on November 17, 1999, has been celebrated every year on February 21, 2000 to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. 2010 was declared the International Year for the Convergence of Cultures. The date for the day was chosen to commemorate the events of Dhaka (now the capital city of Bangladesh) on February 21, 1952, when police bullets killed students demonstrating in defense of their native Bengali language, which they demanded to be recognized as one of the official languages of the country. Today an event dedicated to the day of the native language took place where foreign students of the medical faculty performed a program together with other faculties of our university.
Международный день родного языка, провозглашенный Генеральной конференцией ЮНЕСКО 17 ноября 1999 года, отмечается с 2000 года ежегодно 21 февраля с целью содействия языковому и культурному разнообразию и многоязычию.2010 год был провозглашён Международным годом во имя сближения культур. Дата для дня была выбрана в знак памяти событий, произошедших в Дакке (ныне – столица Бангладеш) 21 февраля 1952 года, когда от пуль полицейских погибли студенты, вышедшие на демонстрацию в защиту своего родного языка бенгали, который они требовали признать одним из государственных языков страны. сегодня 17.02.2023 года прошло мероприятие посвященное к дню родного языка где иностранные студенты медицинского факультета выступили с программой на ряду с другими факультетам нашего ВУЗа.
